• Electric car: there are public charging stations in Avegno at the cemetery, at the filling station in Avegno and in Ascona.

• Public transport: Bus 315 every half hour from Locarno to "Avegno Grotti" (250m from the house). Then see below "Access to the Rustico".

• Car: Enter https://goo.gl/maps/qtoH2Hrc94uTVTEt5 as destination (Via ai Grotti 5, Avegno). Please park on the left like the silver or white car on the picture (see also detailed map below).

• Access to the rustico: from the road(https://goo.gl/maps/q4YyiRb2u9wjocCR9, Via ai Grotti 8, Avegno) go up to the "tower" (see detailed map below).

• For unloading/loading, you can also briefly reverse up here at your own risk, it is quite narrow.

• The entrance to Studio C is in the passage on the right (official new address not in Google is "l Cará di Tondècch 4, 6670 Avegno", equivalent to Via ai Grotti 10, 6670 Avegno).

• The key to Studio C is located at the entrance to Casa A (around the corner to the right). The key box is located in the window niche to the left of the entrance to Casa A. You will receive the code after receiving the copy of the ID a few days before arrival.

• Grotto Valmaggese, upscale and rather expensive, was great (Aug 21), almost whole year

• Grotto al Bosco left of May Morire, well

• Grotto Mai Morire, simple and cheap, uncomplicated, food ok if you do not want to cook sometimes, locals.

• Ristorante Stazione Avegno (locals, workers; simple and down-to-earth), all year round.

Close by car/bus

• Ristorante Centovalli, Ponte Brolla, lamb with risotto always top (almost a must), reservation required.

• Ristorante Castagneta, Ponte Brolla, good cuisine, reservation required.

• Grotto America, Ponte Brolla, (Swiss emigrants in the years around 1890 gathered here), simple and good, also the "tourist menu" with various Ticino specialties (May 22)!

• Avegno over the suspension bridge to Ronchini or in the direction of Dunzio, Streccia, Verscio, possibly Grotto Pedemonte (Verscio).
